Welcome to Prabhaker Hospital
, where we are committed to providing advanced and minimally invasive gynecological procedures to enhance women’s health and well-being. In this section, we will introduce you to three of our specialized procedures: Laparoscopically Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy (LAVH), Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (TLH), and Laparoscopic Myomectomy.
- Laparoscopically Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy (LAVH):
Laparoscopically Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy is a state-of-the-art surgical procedure that combines the benefits of laparoscopy and vaginal surgery to remove the uterus. During this procedure, a small incision is made in the navel, and a laparoscope—a thin, flexible tube with a camera—is inserted to provide a clear view of the pelvic organs. Two or three additional small incisions are made in the lower abdomen to introduce surgical instruments.
The surgeon uses these instruments to carefully detach the uterus and surrounding tissues. The final removal of the uterus is completed through the vaginal canal, minimizing the need for a large abdominal incision. LAVH is renowned for its reduced postoperative pain, shorter hospital stay, quicker recovery time, and less scarring compared to traditional abdominal hysterectomy.
- Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (TLH):
Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy is a minimally invasive procedure that involves the complete removal of the uterus and cervix using laparoscopic techniques. The surgeon makes several small incisions in the abdominal wall to insert the laparoscope and specialized instruments.
Through these incisions, the surgeon meticulously detaches the uterus and cervix, ensuring that surrounding structures are preserved. Once the uterus and cervix are removed, the incisions are closed with sutures or surgical glue. TLH offers numerous advantages, including reduced blood loss, faster recovery, shorter hospital stays, and minimal scarring.
